Finding your details…
We couldn’t find you
This link doesn’t match anyone on our list. Please use the link from your email, or write to us at thespacebetweenretreats@gmail.com and we’ll send it again.
Thank you.
Your details are in. One more thing: take a look at Before you go just below, with what to expect, a packing list and directions.
If anything changes before December, come back to this same link and update it.
We can’t wait to see you at the ranch.

Before you go
What to expect
2 nights/3 days with a small group of women, set up so you can slow down and actually be there. About two weeks before, we’ll send you one short thing to do ahead of time. That’s the only preparation. Otherwise, just come as you are.
Come any time from 2:00 for food and games. Room check-in and the retreat both begin at 4:00, and we end the day with dinner together.
Optional yoga and breakfast, then our morning and early afternoon together. The rest of the afternoon is yours, for the spa, a walk, a nap or nothing at all. We gather again before dinner and end the night at the fire.
Optional yoga and breakfast. Bring your bags down by 10:30 and we’ll close the weekend together, finishing around noon.
What to pack
- Your coat, hat and gloves. Monday night we walk out to the fire after dinner.
- Shoes or boots for walking. There will be some walking between buildings each day.
- Comfortable clothes you can move in. We’ll be up and moving, sometimes on the floor.
- Nothing dressy for dinner. Dinners are casual. Stay in your comfy clothes from the day, put on jeans and a sweater, or wear whatever you feel most like yourself in.
- Something for yoga if you’d like to join in the mornings. Mats are provided.
- Your mahjong card if you play. We’ll have game tables set up for mahjong, Rummikub and canasta during free time between and after our sessions.
- A swimsuit if you plan to use the spa.
- Cozy things for evenings: slippers, a soft sweater, whatever helps you settle in.
- Anything you take every day.
Getting there
Devils Thumb Ranch
3530 County Road 83, Tabernash, CO 80478
Open in Maps
From Denver it’s about an hour and 35 minutes. Take I-70 west to exit 232 and follow Highway 40 over Berthoud Pass, through Winter Park and Fraser. About 2 miles past Fraser, turn right on County Road 83, take the right-hand fork, and follow it 3 miles to the ranch.
December can bring snow on the pass. Check road conditions at cotrip.org before you leave, give yourself extra time, and drive a car with good tires.
If you arrive before 4:00, the front desk will hold your bags until your room is ready.

See you at the ranch.
